1st grade students at ACPC recently performed their music revue entitled “My Town, My World”. Mrs. Laura Marcum and all of the 1st grade students have been working hard for weeks to present their program to the school and to their families and community.

My Town, My World is a musical revue that promotes how you are a part of your neighborhood, your town, your state, our country, and your world.

Each class had a special song to present and then at the end of the program all 1st grade students sang the closing song together. The program went as follows:

1.   My Town, My World—Mrs. Bolinger’s Class (This group performed with globes and even had a student dressed as the Earth.)

2.   My Old Kentucky Home- Mrs. Maddie Myers’ class (These student had a parade in which they taught the audience about different things that represented the state of Kentucky)

3.   Hello to All the Children of the World—Mrs. Katlyn Raines’ class (This class wore hats or outfits that represented different countries. They also taught the audience how to say “Hello” or “Good Day” in other languages)

4.   When We Work Together—Ms. Lexi Feese’s class ( These students represented different community workers from around the world and carried international flags)

5.   Share the Good Gifts—Mrs. Amanda Greer’s class (This class sang about how you can share gifts with others from around the world; our neighbors who are near and far)

6.   This World is Ours—Mrs. Samantha Harrelson’s (This group used colorful streamers to express their song)

7.   This Land is Your Land—Mrs. Kassie Huddleston’s class (They performed a patriotic song in the dark using black lights)

8.   It’s Our World—Mrs. Megan Bell’s class (This group used cardio drums and drum stick that glowed under black lights then at the end brought out colorful glowing streamers)

9.   It’s A Small World—All 1st graders sang this song together.

Thank you to our parents and community members who came to watch and support our students. It really means a lot to the kids. We have our program during the school day so that all of our 1st graders have a chance to participate.
