My

On Friday, March 28th, each of our 1st Grade classes will be performing in a musical performance entitled “My Town, My World”. Our show is a music revue that puts emphasis on how we are a part of our neighborhood, our town, our state, our country, and our world. It is up to us to treat our communities, our continents, and our world like the precious place it is and share our good fortune with friends everywhere. When we work together…we CAN make things happen!

Students will be performing that morning for the other students in our school. Then they will perform again that afternoon at 1:00p.m. for the community. Each class will be presenting a special song in a creative way.  Some classes will play instruments some will be using objects or movements while singing, and a couple groups will perform in the dark. This event is sure to be entertaining. The students would love to have you come to our afternoon program. If you have any questions feel free to call our music teacher, Mrs. Marcum at (270) 384-3367 or email: laura.marcum@adair.kyschools.us .

Special Notes

Ms. Lexi Feese’s class—These students are going to represent community workers. We have hats that represent different jobs. However, some of the students said they had better outfits at home they would like to wear like (firefighter, nurse, doctor, baker, construction worker, etc.).

Mrs. Raines’ Class- These students are supposed to represent different countries. We have hats from other countries. However, if you have something special at home that is a hat or costume that would be fine to use.

Mrs. Kassi Huddleston -These students will be performing in the dark with blacklights. They need to wear all black or very dark clothing (shirt and pants).

Mrs. Megan Bell’s Classes- They are performing in the dark as well and need to wear all black or very dark clothing (shirt and pants).

All other classes should wear their classroom shirt for our program unless otherwise listed above.
