Adair County Middle School received a Community Grant from LG&E and KU in support of science education at the school. The $1,400 grant will provide funds for Adair County Middle School teachers to provide hands-on learning applications for students.

Kayla Stockton, Instructional Coach at ACMS, said, “Receiving the LG&E grant is transformative for Adair County Middle School because it enables our students to embark on an in-depth exploration of the unique ecosystems around Mammoth Cave National Park, something that is in our own backyard!  This grant empowers students to study biodiversity, understand the impact of environmental changes, and investigate the delicate balance between human activity and natural systems, fostering a deeper connection to science, conservation, and the world around them.”

LG&E and KU provides grant opportunities in education to invest in the improvement of the quality of life in local  communities.
