We would like to say a special
thank you to our guest speaker, Major Brad Schol. His nephew, 4th grade student Grayson Lee, introduce Major Schol. Grayson said this about Major Schol in his introduction, "Major Brad Scholl recently returned home following a successful 10-month deployment to the Central Command Area of Operations in the Middle East. The Battalion, made up of men and women from across Kentucky, served with distinction in eight different countries, contributing to key military operations and strengthening partnerships with allied nations. While deployed, he served as the Battalion Training Officer for the Army National Guard 623rd Division. He previously served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 9 ½ years. For the past 12 ½ years to present, he has served the U.S. Army National Guard."
Mrs. Angie Smith states, "Veterans Day is observed on November 11th each year. We celebrate then and now. We chose Thanksgiving week because it is a time to give thanks. We would like to thank all of the Veterans who have made so many sacrifices for us and this country."
